A Mountaintop Experience
I would define a mountaintop experience as something that simply takes your breath away!
I was honored with the Bishop Charles E. Blake Teacher of the Year award. For those of you who do not know Bishop Blake, he is the pastor of West Angeles Church of God in Christ located on Crenshaw and Exposition Blvds in Los Angeles. Its membership totals over 20,000 and it is actively involved in numerous community/civic/outreach ministries. A world-wide focus, Save Africa's Children, concentrates on the building and support of schools, orphanages and water systems for villages.
Recently, Bishop Blake received the honor of becoming the Bishop International of the churches of God in Christ.
You may now have a better understanding of the joy and excitement I felt when Bishop Blake was sitting in the audience during my keynote address! The title of the keynote was "The Power of One". The message focused on the power each person has to positively influence the lives of others.
