Los Angeles Urban Teacher Residency Program
I have the honored distinction of being the Director of the Los Angeles Urban Teacher Residency (LAUTR) program. It is a program being funded by a federal grant under the Obama administration.
Teacher Candidates are placed with a Mentor teacher in an urban school and simultaneously take college courses at California State University at Los Angeles to complete their preliminary teaching credential and masters' degree in education within 14 months.
This innovative program was recently featured in the Cal State LA news magazine.
Please share with anyone who is interested in becoming a math, science or special education teacher that a stipend and scholarship opportunities are available.
You may find more information at www.lautr.org.
