A Lesson Learned from Egypt
The people of Egypt rallied together and created a united voice for democracy.
Teachers need to do the same...create a united voice for the educational
rights of all children. Traditionally, urban children have received the
greatest number of beginning teachers, who are still developing their
skills as an effective educator. There is a high turn over rate in
urban schools and only approximately 50% of them stay in the profession.
Class sizes are increasing and resources are diminishing.
Educators all over the nation need to stand up and demand their
voices to be heard in a united call for social justice, a quality education
and the necessary resources to foster the academic achievement of
all students.
Change is best actualized from a group of folks with a common vision!
Our children need every concerned educator to be an advocate for them!
