You Never Know...
My eldest son is a journalist for the Washington Post.
He called me with very exciting news! He had been
invited with a small group of other media-related
people to meet President Barak Obama and take a
tour of the White House.
Why do I share this information with all of you?
* This is a young man who worked hard as a secondary and college student
* He attended public schools...not private schools
* He had teachers who believed in him and encouraged him to exercise his talents
* He saw himself in the future and not just his present experiences
* He had a supportive family, particularly his mom :)
I encourage all of you to see the best in your students...
You never know...one of them may be shaking hands with the President of
the United States...
You never know...one of them may become the President of the United States!!!
