Flash Mob Lesson
This past Friday evening, I had the most wonderful experience...
My son, who is a professional choreographer (SOS Artistry), told me that he was going to be honoring his girlfriend's aunt in partnership with Flash Mob of America.
The aunt is a wonderful, kind, loving and generous woman who constantly gives of herself toward so many worth causes.
I practiced using the U Tube Instructional video, but decided to arrive at the Pasadena mall early to perfect my dance routine by attending a rehearsal before we were to perform.
It was absolutely amazing to me...People of all ages, races, cultures, sizes...arrived at the rehearsal as well. These people did not know her aunt AT ALL. They were coming for many reasons, but none of them for their own personal fame...
They loved working with a group...doing something good for another person...participating in something fun...participating with others for a positive reason...
It was awesome to see..husbands and wives...brothers and sisters...girlfriends and boyfriends...dads and their daughters...there was a nursing mom with her baby...AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I met a dad (in his sixties) who came with his daughter...they were so excited!
Of course, I don't have to tell you that we practiced for 2-3 hours and the Flash Mob performance was an absolute success! Seeing the surprised...I mean shocked...look on the aunt's face was PRICELESS!
My Flash Mob Lesson as an Educator...if strangers can come together...work together...perform together for a common good...how much more can educators, counselors, administrators, coaches, nurses, social workers, certificated, classified...."the village"... come together for the good of children in a school community?
Come on EVERYONE...let's dance!!!!!!!!
