Miracles in the Midst of a Storm
A very interesting story sparked a connection to our work with children.
It is the story of Ole, a Welsh Corgi, who survived an avalanche.
A dog that was feared dead after he was swept away in a weekend avalanche that killed his owner. Ole showed up four days later at the Montana motel where his owners had stayed the night before going backcountry skiing.
I was thinking that we cannot spend more energy focused on the challenges, hardships, and tragedies of working with children, families and communities. We must realize that there is potentially a miracle in the midst of the storm or an avalanche!
There are children who are experiencing very difficult times in their lives, yet they persevere through them to achieve success.
As the "village", we must be instruments to help, heal, encourage and inspire!
Our children deserve the chance to break through the walls of an avalanche and thrive!
