World-wide Unrest

We are living in perilous times. There is unrest all around the world. We must share with students the important aspects of resolving disputes in a peaceful manner. There will always be people or situations that cause us challenges. Generally, people hold fast to their beliefs, their religion, or philosophies. It is their right to do so. The same is true for other people. They also have beliefs, religion or philosophies. It is also their right. So, it is more important to come together and understand people, rather than take the lives of others in a violent manner in order to make a point. Children will emulate what they see adults do. We cannot expect children to be peaceful, if we, as adults, exhibit violent actions to resolve disputes, misunderstandings or differences of opinion. We cannot complain about fights or arguments on a school campus, gang activity and violence in communities, if adults cannot display a reconciling approach to our own problems. Let us strive for PEACE!!!!
