Collision!!!!!!!!

What happens when a motorcyclist is speeding and a car has stopped and proceeded through an intersection? A motorcycle's rev'd up engine, the huge clatter of the impact, the screeching brakes, the crash of the car into the retaining wall and the sound of smattering glass and metal was enough to awaken everyone during this early morning collision this weekend. After the car collided with the motorcycle, it spun out of control until it hit the retaining wall of my apartment complex! It was a horrible collision that was heard for at least three blocks! At least a hundred people poured out of their houses, apartments and condos in their pajamas, robes, sweats, street clothes...running to the accident to see how they could help. People were calling 911 from their cell phones and others looked on with horrified expressions on their faces. The motorcyclist was on the ground next to his mangled bike and the young girl, in her 20's, was stuck in her compact car with both front air bags deployed. What a sight! It looked like a war zone! This is another Teachable Moment.... Educators and all those who work with children...including all parents...please pay attention to students who are "moving too fast"...students who are "reckless"...students who "live on the edge"...students who are "out of control". STOP...Look both ways...Pay attention to their demeanor, attitude, behavior, personality, disposition, conversations...AVOID A COLLISION...and...remember...generally...there is also Collateral Damage as well.... Proceed with Caution....
