Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! This is the year of New Beginnings...New Blessings...New Directions... The definition of "new" is...not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time Adjectives to describe "new" is...fresh - recent - novel - modern - young - green You may have heard the old adage: You can't keep doing the same thing and expect different results. I encourage you all to be introspective as you move past the threshold of this new year. Where can you change bad or unproductive habits, attitudes, and behaviors? How can you develop productive, positive, "inviting" characteristics in your life? You cannot change or influence other people if you are not willing to make changes in your own life. As educators, parents, psychologists, social workers, counselors and other individuals impacting the lives of students, you are certainly a role model and children are watching you....even when you least suspect it. Take advantage of the New Year...to leave some "old ways" in 2012 and move into being the "better you" in 2013. I wish you all the best in this new year!
