The Kindness of Others

There are so many crazy things going on in the world. There are so many people doing crazy things in the world. The news is filled with stories of crazy events happening in the world. Yet, despite all of this...I still believe that there are kind, thoughtful, sincere, compassionate, and loving people in the world. We dealt with the horror of the bombing that took place during the Boston marathon. Stories emerged regarding the heroics of people toward others they did not know. We also saw the courageous actions of first responders to the explosion in Texas. Last week, I fell and severely sprained my ankle and fractured my foot. I have to wear a "boot" and use crutches for the next 8 weeks. I'm so used to being on "go" mode...independent...fiercely focused and task-oriented. With this injury, I am so amazingly pleased with random people who offer to help me...open the door, carry my belongings, drive me to meetings, and so much more...I thank God for the kindness of others. There are still very good people in the world! ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
